Stop loft condensation and damp for good
A roof needs to breathe. Warm, moist air from your kitchen, bathroom and everyday living rises up into the loft, and if it cannot escape it turns to condensation on the cold underside of the roof. Over time that means black mould, damp insulation, musty smells and even rot in the timbers. The fix is proper ventilation, getting air moving in at the eaves and out at the ridge.
We sort roof and loft ventilation across Norwich and Norfolk. It is one of those jobs people do not think about until they find mould in the loft, and it is far cheaper to put right than the damage it causes.
What is included
- Full assessment of how your roof breathes
- Soffit and eaves vents to let fresh air in

- Felt lap vents on older roofs
- Extra ventilation after spray foam removal
- Advice you can trust, with no scare tactics
Worth a look
Signs your roof needs better ventilation
- Condensation or water droplets on the loft side of the roof
- Black mould on the rafters, felt or stored boxes
- A damp, musty smell in the loft
- Wet or compressed loft insulation
- Frost on the inside of the roof in winter
- Spray foam insulation that has sealed the roof up
Why modern homes trap moisture
Older houses were draughty, so lofts breathed naturally. Newer and upgraded homes are sealed up tight with insulation and double glazing, which is great for warmth but traps moisture inside. Without the right vents, that moisture ends up in the roof space. We add ventilation that keeps the loft dry without losing the heat you have paid for.
Spray foam and blocked ventilation
If your roof has had spray foam insulation applied to the underside, it often seals off the natural airflow and can cause real condensation problems. We deal with the aftermath, removing or working around it and putting proper ventilation back so the roof can breathe again. If you are worried about foam in your loft, give us a call and we will take a look.
