Make your roof look new again
Norfolk is damp, and damp means moss. Those thick green clumps on the north side of your roof are not just an eyebrow-raiser when you pull onto the drive. As moss grows it lifts the edges of the tiles, holds water against them, and breaks off into the gutters and downpipes until they block and overflow. A good clean sorts all of that and takes years off the look of the house.
We clean roofs across Norwich and the villages, from the bungalows in Old Catton to the big detached homes out toward Wroxham. We do it safely, without blasting the tiles to bits with a pressure washer, which is how a lot of roofs get wrecked.
What is included
- Careful hand scraping of moss and growth
- Soft washing that lifts algae without damaging tiles
- Treatment that slows down regrowth
- Clearing all the moss out of the gutters after
- A check for cracked or slipped tiles while we are up there
- All the moss and mess cleared away, not left on your lawn
Worth a look
Why bother cleaning your roof?
- Thick green moss on the tiles, worst on the shaded side
- Gutters that block and overflow when it rains
- Dark streaks and stains running down the roof
- Bits of moss dropping into the garden and drive
- A tired, neglected look that drags the whole house down
- You are selling and want great kerb appeal
Why we do not jet-wash your tiles to bits
You will see people offer a quick pressure wash for next to nothing. The trouble is a strong jet strips the protective surface off concrete tiles and forces water under them, which can leave you worse off than the moss did. We scrape by hand and use a gentle soft wash instead. It takes a bit longer, but your tiles stay sound and the finish lasts.
Clean gutters come as standard
There is no point cleaning a roof and leaving the gutters packed with moss, so we clear them out as part of the job. While we are up there we keep an eye out for any cracked tiles or worn flashing, and we tell you if we spot anything that needs sorting. No pressure, just a heads-up so a small thing does not turn into a leak.
